Happy holidays! It feels like 2024 flew by. This year we traveled to India, Spain, the Maldives, and Italy. I got to try a bunch of different cuisines and take more travel photos than ever before. On the health side, I spent a lot of time on diet and exercise and managed to run close to 200 miles—the most I’ve ever done in a year.
In 2025, I want to keep focusing on those same things, but with more specific goals. The major areas are fitness, food, photography, and reading.
I want to run 300 miles this year. That’s 25 miles a month, with some buffer for extra effort when I’m feeling good. Running became a core part of my routine in 2024, and I want to build on that momentum.
I also want to finally get abs. It’s been on my list for years, and while it might sound superficial, the discipline required to get there aligns with other fitness goals. Beyond that, I want to focus on a more defined physique overall, combining cardio, strength training, and better posture work.
My wife and I have been cooking at home more often, trying out new dishes almost every week. In 2025, I want to create v1 of a cookbook. Nothing too polished—just something fun that collects our favorite recipes. It’d be great to print a few copies and share them with friends and family during the holidays.
I want to keep improving my travel and food photography. Travel photography helps me document the places we visit, and food photography will be especially useful for the cookbook.
I want to finish 12 books this year—one per month. If I can consistently carve out 10 minutes a day, this should be an easy goal to hit.
2025 is all about focusing on both body and mind. I’m doubling down on what worked in 2024 and raising the bar a little higher. Here’s to another year of growth, creativity, and good food!
